These chests are made of pine, and are lined with 1/4 inch tongue and groove cedar. Hardware used is solid brass. The schooner chest is 16 x 20 inches and the lighthouse chest is 14 x 16 inches. The artwork on the front of the chest is carved into the wood by hand, and is then painted. The chest is then hand rubbed with 3 to 4 coats of finishing oil for a lustrous and long lasting finish. Chests can also be made from oak, and can be made any size. The artwork on the chest can be customized to your wants or requirements.
